HISTORY OF MTA WATER PRODUCTS
MTA Water Products Americas, founded in 2022 and based in Spartanburg SC, is a daughter company of MTA Water Products Austria, which is headquartered in St. Veit an der Glan, Austria. In its turn, MTA Water Products Austria was founded in 2002. With the establishment of MTA Water Products Americas the Water Management Services of the Americas will receive better and quicker service, through a local presence of essentials and tools.
Before starting his own business, Marko Taferner worked for many years at an international consulting company operating in many European countries. He gained experience and a wide knowledge of water supply and wastewater disposal systems. As a partner in a Swedish company, he took his first steps into self-employment. In 1995 he sold his company shares and returned to Austria. Until the end of 2001 Taferner was shareholder and managing director of the company HEMAR Messtechnik.
With the establishment of MTA Water Products, he put into practice his long-held dream of a company specialized in the water space, offering technological innovations and niche products for water utilities and sanitation. MTA Water Products is committed to its main task, to offer technological innovations and niche products for water utilities and wastewater disposal.
